Outstanding Engineering Design/Drafting Reference
By Dave - Williamsburg

David and Dave Madsen continue to deliver an excellent text. Engineering Drawing and Design (5th Edition) continues to build on the excellent work from the fourth edition. This book is an easy read, a ready reference and it gets "to the point" quickly on all subject matter. The content addresses subject matter briefly allowing the reader to move quickly, however; it does not leave out the critical information required. My design group uses this book and we also use David Madsen's Print Reading for Engineering and Manufacturing Technology and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing for reference and training purposes. We find that ED&D and the Print Reading book work very well together. I recommend this book very highly not only as a reference for a design staff in the corporate world but also as an academic text in and out of the classroom.
